Liam Pettersson – Djurgardens – U20 Nationell
Djurgardens pushed its record to a perfect 3–0 on Wednesday with a 5–3 win over Brynas IF, keeping them atop the U20 Nationell Nodra Division. Pettersson picked up his first point of the season, assisting on the empty‑netter that sealed the victory. He finished the night at plus‑3 while logging top‑pair minutes.
Djurgardens stayed perfect on Saturday, rallying for a 3–1 win over Timra IK. Pettersson was not in the lineup, and there was no official word from the club about his absence however, he is listed on the SHL club roster and no longer on the U20 roster.
Kirill Yemelyanov – Loko Yaroslav – MHL
On Saturday, Loko dropped a 3–2 decision to Almaz in MHL play, and Yemelyanov is still waiting to get on the board this season. He was held without a point but stayed involved, firing three shots, finishing minus‑1, and winning 7 of 14 draws while logging 18:01 of ice time.
Matvei Kotkov – Loko Yaroslav – MHL
Loko handled Shanghai 3–1 in KHL action on Tuesday, but it was a quiet night for Matvei Kotkov, who appeared firmly in Dmitry Kvartalnov’s doghouse and logged just 6:55 of ice time. He finished pointless with one shot on goal. It’s only two games into the season, but if he’s going to keep seeing sub‑10‑minute usage, you’d almost rather see him back in the MHL where he can dominate and continue developing.
Loko edged Severstal in overtime on Thursday in KHL action. Kotkov was held off the scoresheet and didn’t register a shot on goal in 9:43 of ice time, but the standout number was his physical play — he finished with five hits, a surprising total given his usual profile.
Loko pushed past CSKA Moscow 3–2 on Sunday in KHL action, undefeated in 4 starts, but Kotkov’s early spark has faded. Since scoring on his very first shift of the season, he’s been held pointless, and Sunday offered little movement — no shots on goal, three hits, and 10:27 of even‑strength ice time.
Nils Bartholdsson – Rogle BK – U20 Nationell
Bartholdsson is still with the SHL club at the Champions Hockey League. The team has a 1-2 record through three games with Bartholdsson appearing in two of them. He has been pointless to date, has 1 SOG and averaged about 5:00 TOI through the two games.
On Sunday, Rogle took on Tappara Tampere in CHL action and defeated them 4-0. Bartholdsson, playing on the fourth line, was held pointless, had two shots on goal with a penalty in only 5:56 TOI.
It marked the end of their current CHL slate, with the next matchup set for October 6. The question now is whether Bartholdsson remains with the SHL group or heads back to the U20 Nationell — a decision that could come sooner rather than later with the SHL season beginning September 19. But I don’t feel playing 5 minutes a night, even in a pro league is best for his development.
Oscar Olsson – Orebro HK – U20 Nationell
Orebro rolled past BIK Karlskoga 5–1 on Tuesday, improving to 2–1–0 and taking over top spot in the U20 Nationell Sodra Division. The only lingering issue is Olsson’s start — he’s still searching for his first point of the season after another scoreless outing. He did generate four shots on goal, tied for the game high, which at least shows he’s finding opportunities.
Orebro edged Farjestad 5–4 in a shootout on Friday, and it finally marked a breakout night for Olsson. He picked up his first two points of the season — both primary assists — and each one came at a key moment. His first set up a late‑period strike that pushed Örebro ahead 2–0, and his second came early in the third to restore a 4–3 lead, though the group couldn’t close it out in regulation. Olsson took Orebro’s first attempt in the shootout but was turned aside.
Vashek Blanar – HV71 – U20 Nationell
Blanar is listed on the HV71 roster in the U20 Nationell but has yet to play in a game. He was with the SHL club.

Yuri Ivanov – Spartak – MHL
JHC Spartak opened its MHL season Tuesday with a 3–0 loss to Krasnaya Armiya. It wasn’t a taxing night for Ivanov, who stopped 17 of the 19 shots he faced, with Krasnaya adding a third goal into an empty net late in the third period. Both goals he allowed came in the first period on ten shots, while Spartak pushed 14 the other way.
In a somewhat surprising move, Ivanov was sent to Spartak’s other club MHA for Thursday’s game against Atlant. It’s the same league but Spartak MHA is made up of younger players to feed their main MHL club JHC Spartak. In any event, Spartak won 5-3. Ivanov stopped 31 of 34 shots he faced in the victory.
On Friday, Ivanov stopped all 23 shots he faced as Spartak MHA defeated Krylya Sovetov 2-0. Have to say it was somewhat easy as his teammates fired 52 shots in the other direction.
